ZD30 Mascots

Meet Greg and Laura Bird, retired 20+ year USAF veteran’s and owner’s of ZD30 Trailers. After 30+ years of adventuring in every type of RV,  they sold their 35’ motorhome with the intent of bringing simplicity and fun back to their adventures.  

In 2018, Greg started looking at ways they could build a ‘hard sided tent’ (having the convenience of a trailer and the compactness of a tent) and that’s when the first cargo trailer conversion was built!  Lovingly dubbed the “Prototype” now. Everywhere they took this little trailer curious investigators would ask, “where did you get this, or do you sell these?”  It got to the point they knew there was a need for this type of product in the market. Fast forward to 2022 and Zero Dark 30 Trailers was founded! They combined all that they had learned from using the “Prototype” and incorporated those ideas into the Patriot 510.

The red trailer you see here is the original Prototype converted from a 5’X10’ cargo trailer. The galley in the back has a Campchef, two burner cook top with oven, Iceco electric cooler, and microwave.  Everything you need to rough it with ease! Inside the insulated sleeping area there is a TV, full size bed, enough room to stand and get dressed, and space for a porta potty. Keeps you from having to wander around in the wilderness at night. Happy wife, happy life!

Their hope is that you will do it before daylight, get outdoors, and love the adventures you will have in these trailers as much as they do!
